35-Year-Old Okada Rider Rapes Neighbour’s Daughter

A 35-year-old man, Andrew Ekanem, has been arrested by the Bariga Police Division for raping his neighbour’s 14-year-old daughter on Akilo street area of  Bariga, Lagos state.
Punch reports that Andrew Ekanem raped his victim who is reportedly still undergoing a six-month treatment for tuberculosis on Monday around 2am when she went to ease herself outside her parent’s apartment. The mother of the victim, Mrs. Adenike Aderinkomi, a trader who claimed the suspect penetrated her daughter through the anus and virgina said it was after much persuasion that her daughter finally opened up that she was raped by Andrew Ekanem, a Cross River State indigene. Meanwhile the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident, adding that the suspect had been taken to court. Just as a police source told Punch correspondent that investigation revealed the suspect was fond of the act and usually enticed his victims with money. While stating the suspect had “slept with his victim about three times and was always giving her money ranging from N200 to N500″
