Factional APGA panel indicts Oye Read

THE investigation panel set up by factional leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Ozo Nwabueze Okafor, has indicted the embattled National Chairman, Dr. Victor Ike Oye on the allegation of gross misconduct. The panel yesterday submitted its report that indicted the embattled national chairman. The Okafor faction insisted in a statement issued by its Deputy National Secretary, Jerry Obasi that the suspension of Oye still remains valid, warning that all agencies and organizations must take note of the party’s NWC decision. According to the statement, a disciplinary panel, headed by the National Youth Leader of the party, Engr Chuks Nwoga was set up to investigate the alleged gross misconduct and accusation against the chairman and two other members of the NWC.  “The investigative panel has submitted its findings and recommendations with very strong indictment on Dr Victor Oye for gross misconduct in gross violation of Article 12 and 19 of APGA constitution. “It is regrettable that in spite of this current status in the party, which calls for remorse and soul searching on his part which has brought APGA to disrepute and dwindling electoral fortunes in Nigeria, Dr Oye has deliberately refused to heed the good counsel of eminent party leaders. “The true situation is that the embattled erstwhile chairman remains suspended based on the recommendations of the disciplinary committee set up by the National Working Committee”, Obasi stated in the statement”. Recall that while the state chairmen of APGA have given their total loyalty to the Victor Oye led leadership of APGA, the faction headed by Ozo Nwabueze Okafor has maintained its stance on his suspension.
