The Nigerian Senate has passed a record 46 bills in less than five hours, Wednesday. The National Assembly has faced criticism over its poor performance despite taking a huge part of government budget.
The National Assembly has spent N600 billion in four years but managed to pass only about 106 within the period.
The Senate passed the 46 bills just a day before the end of its four-year term.
Some of the bills passed are the Federal Saving Bank act 2015, Tertiary Education Trust Fund Act Bill 2015, Community Service Bill.
